Our son Jonathan, started suffering from Tonsillitis around October 2002. At that time he was 2 years and 7 months old. He was constantly on antibiotics, which helped for the short term, then only while he was taking them. We were very worried as he was easily reduced to tears, complaining his head hurt, his ears hurt, he was always tired and grumpy because he was in constant pain.

We can't believe it took us so long to make the appointment to see Dr Paul Sherwood! Dr Sherwood made us feel hugely relieved, mainly that we weren't going completely mad and that something could be done for our, by this time, 3 year old little boy. He also asked if we thought Jonathan's development had been affected and we couldn't believe that we hadn't thought of it ourselves!

Jonathan had his operation on 9th October 2003 and we haven't looked back! I think he has grown at least 2½ inches and then everything else started to come good too. His concentration is much better, as is his attention span, not perfect but he is only 4 after all!) His speech has always been good but is even better now, and he seems to be enjoying learning all the things he will need to go to school in September.

All in all the best, and only decision we could have made.
